The Hamburg Police Department is at the center of a lawsuit filed by a police officer who claimed he was subjected to retaliation and demoted after he reported departmental misconduct.
Jordan Descafano, who has been a police officer for 11 years and has served as a detective and acting sergeant, said Police Chief Jason Tangorra, Sgt. Christopher Kellenbach and Sgt. Fred Moses singled him out with "baseless disciplinary" write-ups, suspensions, and demotion from detective to patrolman.
