NortonLifeLock to Pay $1.7 Million Judgment in False Claims Suit - Bloomberg Law

NortonLifeLock Inc. must pay nearly $1.3 million to the US and $380,000 to California for violating state and federal False Claims Acts in connection with contracts to provide information technology products and services.

The company formerly known as Symantec fraudulently induced the Government Services Administration and California to enter into the contracts by knowingly making false disclosures regarding the discounts and rebates it offered to governments and other customers, Judge Ralph Contreras of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said Thursday.
