A nurse has been struck off after he lied on his CV, claiming he had 20 years experience in nursing and owned a company worth 500million. Imran Ismail Hasan admitted the charges against him and was sacked during a misconduct hearing that he did not attend.
On October 18, the panel heard how Mr Hasan submitted an application for a job with multiple lies listed. He claimed he had 14 years' experience working for a FTSE 100 company and had owned a company with a turnover of 585million.
Mr Hasan said he was registered as a mental health nurse in 2014 and applied for a job in July 2019. In the fraudulent form, he also claimed to have been employed as head of healthcare for the Central and North West London (CNWL) Foundation Trust

During the interview for ward manager at The Priory Hospital, the interviewers suggested he apply for a more senior role. His applications had inconsistencies which raised suspicions leading one staff member to conclude that Mr Hasan had made dishonest claims.
The panel heard how the Nursing and Midwifery Council assessed the case. Sophie Stannard, case presenter, said that Mr Hasan’s behaviour was a "significant departures from the expected standards of a registered nurse."
