Registered nurses who say the health care entities they worked for owe them wages may move forward with a $1.8 million settlement after fixing problems with an earlier version, a federal judge in Kansas said.
The parties secured preliminary approval for the revised deal after removing a provision in which the defendants said they wouldn’t contest the service awards if the lead plaintiffs agreed to an “overly broad and general release of all claims,” the US District Court for the District of Kansas said.
