Is WK Kellogg Being Acquired?
Yes. Ferrero Group, the parent company of Nutella, is looking to acquire the Michigan-based cereal giant in a deal valued at approximately US$3.1 billion.
“WK Kellogg Co, a trusted company with beloved brands, represents a meaningful addition to the Ferrero Group,” CEO Lapo Civiletti said in a joint news release on July 10.
“Enhancing our portfolio with these complementary household brands marks an important step towards expanding Ferrero’s presence across more consumption occasions and reinforces our commitment to delivering value to consumers in North America.”
Following the completion of the acquisition — currently expected to take place in the second half of 2025 — WK Kellogg will no longer trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
