Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Inc. won a 90-day pause of its Chapter 11 case so a mediator can try to work out a deal to resolve child sex abuse claims that drove the youth organization into bankruptcy.
The pause, approved by Judge Sean H. Lane of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York at a hearing Wednesday, includes restrictions negotiated in a last-minute deal by some of the case’s major stakeholders.
