Office of Equal Opportunity Programs City of Tucson - City of Tucson

Welcome to the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs (OEOP) web site. OEOP is a branch of the City Manager's Office responsible for the oversight of all anti-discrimination programs and policies as well as the investigation of discriminatory practices and wrongful conduct for the City of Tucson.

OEOP is comprised of the following program functions:

Americans with Disabilities Act Program (ADA)

The ADA is a federal statute signed into law in 1990 to protect the rights of persons with disabilities and provide equal opportunity in employment, equal access to programs, services, and activities, and prohibits housing discrimination.

Barriers

OEOP requests citizens and city employees help identify barriers to accessibility wherever they are found in City facilities or where those barriers impact programs, activities and services for persons with disabilities.

Discrimination Complaints

Discrimination based on disability by an employer, organization, institution, or business entity within the city limits is against the law.
