An international law firm has boosted its Birmingham ranks.
Ogletree Deakins has added former Jackson Lewis PC Attorney Kimberly Ward as of counsel. Ward is an employment law litigator with a counseling practice who represents clients in the manufacturing, automotive, banking and health care industries. She focuses on representing management in employment matters.
Her practice includes all areas of employment litigation: discrimination claims, harassment, retaliation, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compliance, accommodation issues, wage and hour disputes and noncompetition matters.
In addition to her litigation practice, she also regularly provides advice and counsel to clients on a variety of legal issues related to preventing and managing employment claims, including employee performance and disciplinary issues, leave issues, accommodations and harassment prevention. She also provides onsite EEO training to employers and human resource groups aimed at preventing and managing employment claims. In addition, she assists employers with drafting and updating workplace policies. She has practiced in numerous federal and state courts and before arbitrator tribunals and administrative agencies.
