Are you concerned about protections offered to workplace whistleblowers? The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is seeking public comments on its Whistleblower Protection Program during a virtual meeting.

The meeting, scheduled for May 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET, is free and open to the public. It is the ninth meeting in a series on how OSHA can improve its Whistleblower Protection Program and will focus on health care workers.

OSHA is seeking comments on:

1. How it can deliver better whistleblower customer service
2. The kind of assistance it should provide to help explain the agency’s whistleblower laws to employees and employers
3. Actions it can take to ensure that workers in health care facilities are protected from retaliation for raising concerns related to COVID-19.

Those interested in watching or participating in the meeting must register in English or Spanish by May 11, 2022.
