Are you concerned about protections offered to workplace whistleblowers? The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is seeking public comments on its Whistleblower Protection Program during a virtual meeting.
The meeting, scheduled for May 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET, is free and open to the public. It is the ninth meeting in a series on how OSHA can improve its Whistleblower Protection Program and will focus on health care workers.
OSHA is seeking comments on:
- How it can deliver better whistleblower customer service
- The kind of assistance it should provide to help explain the agency’s whistleblower laws to employees and employers
- Actions it can take to ensure that workers in health care facilities are protected from retaliation for raising concerns related to COVID-19.
Those interested in watching or participating in the meeting must register in English or Spanish by May 11, 2022.
