The matter of the men accused of arranging a hit on whistleblower Babita Deokaran is to be heard today following a recent postponement.
The six men stand accused of the murder of the alleged whistleblower who was fatally shot outside of her Winchester Hills home on August 23, 2021.
Picketing outside the Johannesburg High Court, Community Engagement Officer Ali Gule of OUTA, said: “We are here to support the case of Babita, in essence, we’re here to support all whistle-blowers in the country. We are expecting the case to start today. We’re not happy about postponements, but today it looks like the case is going to start.”
