LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division announced Monday they found that a company's employer was failing to pay the correct overtime.
According to the news release, the employer for Primeforce Inc., a staffing agency operating as Elite Workforce Management was denying wages to workers.
The employer was also miscalculating attendance bonuses and not paying the correct amount for overtime.
Upon all of this, Primeforce paid less than time and one-half for the overtime hours.
The number of back wages totaled up to $74,642 for 628 employees.
"The Wage and Hour Division is here to make sure that all workers, including those who are placed through staffing agencies, receive the wages they have earned," said Wage Hour District Director Hanz Grünauer in Little Rock. "We provide resources for employees to understand their rights and for employers to understand their requirements under the law. We encourage all who have questions or complaints to contact us.
