Mr. Ernest Owusu-Bempah, Deputy Communication Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has dismissed as false and misleading a publication circulating on social media and certain online platforms, including Opera News, that falsely attributed critical remarks against Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to him.
In an official statement, Owusu-Bempah said he has never made any public statement attacking or criticizing Hon. Agyapong, whether before or after the party’s recent presidential primaries.
He described the publication as “entirely false, malicious, and misleading,” blaming “unscrupulous and faceless individuals” for deliberately attempting to sow discord within the party.
“This fabrication is clearly intended to create unnecessary tension and damage the long-standing friendship, mutual respect, and bond between Hon. Kennedy Agyapong and myself,” Owusu-Bempah said, emphasizing that such acts are harmful to party cohesion at a critical time.
Owusu-Bempah further clarified that he has not granted any interview or made any comment on this matter since the conclusion of the NPP primaries, urging the public and party faithful to treat any claim to the contrary with “the highest contempt it deserves.”
He called on NPP members to remain united and focused following the competitive internal elections, stressing that attempts to manufacture division will not succeed.
