Pakistan at it again: Bilawal Zardari tries to rake up Kashmir, makes false claims - Economic Times

Over the years, it has become a habit of Pakistan to rake up the Kashmir issue on international forums, without getting much traction. Though the flood situation in Pakistan has further worsened the condition of its debt-ridden economy with no relief in sight, the leaders of the country fail to shun their obsession with Kashmir. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari again raised the Kashmir issue in New York rather than seeking funds for his own flood-devastated country.

The minister also said that Islamabad hasn't seen any signs of rebuilding relations with India while speaking during a question and answer session following the address to The Council of Foreign Relations in New York, as reported by ANI.

Zardari claimed that India hasn't offered any assistance to Pakistan. "I haven't seen any signs of it, at the moment. India is not one of the countries that have offered assistance. As far as my party is concerned, my PM's party is concerned, we are trying to create a peaceful environment with India, and we have consistently strong advocacy for engagement with India. But India has fundamentally changed," he said.

Without elaborating much, Pak's new foregin minister also asserted that US and Pakistan have historic ties and they stand on their own merit.
