Three men who volunteered at Palm Beach County golf courses lost their bid for a new look at their wage-and-hour case after the Eleventh Circuit ruled it lacked jurisdiction to hear the appeal Monday.
The named plaintiffs, who say they’re employees entitled to wages, appealed after a lower court shut down their suit. But the district court didn’t dispose of the claims of other volunteers who joined the Fair Labor Standards Act collective suit, so there’s no final order and thus no appellate jurisdiction, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said in an unpublished opinion.
