On October 29, attorney Park Sung-bae of Hyemyeong Law Firm, Park Si-hoo’s legal representative, issued an official statement announcing that the Seoul Eastern District Court had found a defendant guilty of all charges, including theft, defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and violations of the Personal Information Protection Act. The court sentenced her to 10 months in prison on October 22, 2026, for posting false information about the actor on social media.
Previously, Park Si-hoo filed a complaint against a woman identified as A, who had claimed that he arranged an affair for her former husband. He accused her of defamation through the dissemination of false information online and violations of the Personal Information Protection Act, among other offenses. Her former husband, identified as B, also filed a complaint against A, and the allegations of online defamation were recognized before the case was referred for further proceedings. A was subsequently brought to trial on charges of stealing B’s mobile phone and passport and posting claims on social media suggesting that Park Si-hoo had contributed to the breakdown of their marriage by introducing another woman to B.
