A False Claims Act whistleblower failed to show that Parsons Corp. and subcontractor Cochise Consultancy Inc. defrauded the government while performing a $60 million munitions clearing contract in Iraq, a federal court said.
Relator Billy Joe Hunt “abandoned the bribery and kickback allegations at the core of his FCA claims and failed to prove his alternative theories of liability,” said Judge Liles C. Burke of the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama in a Wednesday opinion.
