Pathway Whistleblower Gets $398,090 in Attorneys' Fees, Costs - Bloomberg Law

A False Claims Act whistleblower that accused a youth rehabilitation center of defrauding Medicaid will receive $388,090 in attorneys’ fees and expenses, a federal district court said.

Richard J. Sheppard’s suit helped the US government reach a $3.5 million FCA settlement with Pathway of Baldwin County LLC and Pathway Inc. in 2022 over claims the center billed for basic living skills services that it didn’t actually provide.
