Paul Finebaum is talking about USC Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley yet again, and this time under his own volition, without pre-emptive reasoning.

We are beyond weird. We are beyond sad. It is either a personal vendetta or something in his contract that states he must bring up Lincoln Riley in a negative way at least once a month during the offseason.

This latest tirade was not only in poor taste, but it brought about many claims that are just factually untrue.

Appearing as a guest on the Dari Nowkhah Show, he talks about Oklahoma being in a better place now than it would be if Lincoln Riley had stuck around. Yeah, the team that has two 6-7 seasons under Brent Venables, and currently holds the 27th-ranked 2026 recruiting class, is in a better spot…

“I know a lot of people are still gnashing teeth in Norman and Oklahoma City and across that state, but I frankly believe the Sooner Nation is better off today than it would have been had he stayed around because there is something wrong with this guy… I am underwhelmed and I can’t think of a coach, in modern time, who’s making the kind of money that he’s making who has done less.”
