Pennsylvania tax professionals and accountants are gearing up to fight a state legislative plan that would allow whistleblowers to file lawsuits on behalf of the government over suspected tax fraud.
The push to create a state False Claims Act passed the Democrat-led House (HB 1697) last year and is now being considered by the Republican-controlled Senate.
