ELKHART, IN (WSBT) — Elkhart Police were called to a Walgreens at the 200 block of Nappanee Street after a person claimed they had a grenade.
Police say it was a false alarm and there was no threat to the public.
The call came at about 9:45 a.m. from someone who said they were an employee.
Police evacuated the store upon arrival. In their search, the bomb squad found no evidence of explosives at the site.
One person was briefly held but police say there is no evidence to connect the man to the incident.
The store remains open.
The Elkhart Police Department is investigating the incident.
