Phony caller prompts Fresno Police to surround home on false claims - KMPH Fox 26

FRESNO, Calif (FOX26) — The Fresno Police Department responded to a phony caller alleging he had stabbed his mother and made threats to shoot at officers Tuesday morning in Central Fresno.

Police responded to the call shortly after 4 a.m. to a home near Millbrook and Clinton Avenues.

The caller falsely identified himself as 16-year-old Noah Underwood, who said he had stabbed his mother Tiffany Underwood, 34, and that his 11-year-old sister was locked inside a bathroom.

"Underwood" stated he had a bulletproof vest with an AK-47. Along with the threats to shoot at officers, he said he would bomb them as well.

Police surrounded the home, that is when a woman exited unaware of the situation, she even showed them inside the home.

Then, Fresno PD confirmed it was a fake call, referred to as “swatting.
