Piers Morgan's Twitter filled with explicit insults as account hacked - Yahoo Entertainment

Piers Morgan's Twitter account has been hacked – with the culprit writing a slew of racist remarks and hurled insults.

The online attack occurred overnight, with the unknown assailant sending messages to Morgan's 8.3million followers while the TalkTV host was asleep.

Among the messages was a false claim that controversial figure Andrew Tate had been shot dead in Dubai, and derogatory messages about the queen.

Tate later responded saying he was "hard to kill".

The mystery tweeter also targeted Ed Sheeran, branding him a "ginger f***er" in the now-deleted messages.

There were also multiple uses of offensive slurs for the hour-long tirade on the account, with Morgan's name changed multiple times.

At the time of writing, Morgan's account is wiped completely, with his name restored to his own but everything from the tweets to the profile picture being removed.

Followers encouraged the hacker to share Morgan's private DMs, but they refused, saying they had found "nothing interesting".

The attack comes at the end of an anything-but-quiet year for Morgan, who launched his own show on TalkTV after famously walking off Good Morning Britain in 2021 after refusing to apologise for saying he didn’t believe Meghan Markle's claims in an Oprah Winfrey interview that she "felt suicidal and had mental health issues" within the monarchy.
