A Pietermaritzburg councillor has approached the court seeking a protection order against a whistleblower who had sounded the alarm regarding a number of allegations against him.
This comes after the whistleblower reported allegations of misconduct and sexual harassment against the councillor to his political party, the Msunduzi leadership as well as the KwaZulu-Natal Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Sipho Hlomuka.
The Witness is withholding the name of the councillor due to the nature of the charges against him.
