Pima County fired this leader ahead of a key election. Now, he's suing - azcentral.com and The Arizona Republic

A former southern Arizona transportation leader will hit Pima County elected officials and tribal leaders with a $3.8 million lawsuit for unlawful termination, breach of contract, and breach of Arizona’s open meeting law.

Farhad Moghimi, the former executive director of the Pima Association of Governments and the Pima County Regional Transportation Authority, was fired on June 5 for issues with transparency and work performance.
