Pinsent Masons has hired Belén Lavandera as partner in its employment practice in the Madrid office. She joins the firm from Linklaters.
The appointment strengthens the firm’s employment capabilities in Spain amid growing regulatory complexity and increasing demand for employment advice in corporate transactions and restructurings.
Belén Lavandera advises multinational companies and private equity funds on complex employment matters. Her experience includes corporate restructurings, negotiations with employee representatives, the hiring and departure of senior executives, employment litigation and multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions with employment law implications.
Her practice also focuses on advising boards of directors and remuneration committees on executive compensation structures and incentive plans.
The appointment follows other recent strategic hires by Pinsent Masons in Spain, including litigation and arbitration partner Fernando Tallón.
