Issuing a statement, the Police clarified that Gazette Notification No. 2482, issued on March 27, 2026, sets the age limit for Auxiliary Police Constables and Women Police Constables at 18 to 24 years, while the limit for Auxiliary Police Constable Drivers is 18 to 28 years. Applications must be submitted online, with the deadline closing on May 8, 2026.
The Police noted that misleading claims suggesting the age limit for all posts has been extended to 28 years are baseless.
They said that individuals responsible for spreading such false information have been identified, and investigations are underway.
Applicants are urged not to rely on social media rumours but to follow the qualifications outlined in the Gazette. Only those meeting the criteria should submit applications and attend interviews, they added.
