PONCHATOULA, La. —
A Ponchatoula woman has been arrested for allegedly initiating multiple fake child abuse claims.
According to Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, Katelynn Carter, 37, of Ponchatoula filed multiple reports of alleged child abuse regarding her child and the romantic partner of the child's father.
TPSO Juvenile detectives conducted investigations and no evidence of abuse was found.
Detectives did discover that Carter was knowingly and willingly filing the reports with false information.
On April 23, a warrant was obtained for Carter’s arrest and she is being charged with three counts of injuring public records and one count of resisting an officer.
