PPG Industries Inc. should lose its bid to throw out part of a wage-and-hour suit stemming from a cyberattack that temporarily knocked its third-party timekeeping system Kronos offline, a federal magistrate judge recommended.
The paint company argued that allegations arising under the employment laws of unspecified states should be thrown out for lack of standing and failure to state a claim, but the court should wait until later in the case to address those potential issues, a US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania magistrate judge recommended.
