Pregnant Sister-In-Law Abandons Cat, Faces Consequences - BuzzFeed

If you didn't know, the "Am I the Asshole?" thread on Reddit gives us all the juiciest dilemmas people are having so we strangers can step in as the "third party" and offer insights about the situation. Particularly our thoughts on whether or not the original poster (OP) is an asshole.

Today we are talking about a 27-year-old man (our OP) who has beef with his future sister-in-law and now his fiancé as well. The OP has a cat named Billy who he dearly loves. "He's my best friend and is very funny and adorable. He always makes me laugh and comforts me when I need him," the OP says of his cat. ADORBS.

The OP's future sister-in-law — who is currently pregnant — started living with him and his 26-year-old fiancé after her boyfriend kicked her out. The OP pays for everything right now because his fiancé can't find a job, and her sister doesn't work.

This already sounds like a disaster waiting to happen...

Anyway, the future SIL doesn't like Billy the cat. "She'd yell at him to get out whenever he's in the kitchen or the living room. She sprayed him with water whenever she wanted him out and threw his food away. ... My fiancé said her sister never had a cat so she doesn't know how to treat them which is nonsense since animals just want to be left alone. My fiancé's sister seemed to be doing it deliberately," explained the OP.
