Government Accountability Project Applauds the Bipartisan Work of the January 6 House Committee
On December 19th, the January 6 House Committee completed its final public meeting and wrapped up its final bipartisan proceedings after 17 months of investigating the insurrection of January 6th, 2020. The probe of the January 6 Committee, which included over a thousand witnesses and a million documents, is one of the most comprehensive investigations that a chamber of Congress has ever pursued. Hopefully it will also prove to be one of the most consequential as the Department of Justice will now have full access to a vast quantity of evidence, and the public will have access to a massive amount of corroborating information to counter disinformation.
