'I felt sorry for' former Mirror journalist, says ex-Trinity Mirror chair

Former Trinity Mirror chair David Grigson is continuing to be asked about a recorded conversation between himself and former Sunday Mirror journalist Graham Johnson.

In his witness statement, Mr Grigson had said he was "anxious" to leave the conversation and didn't want Mr Johnson to "monopolise" his time.

David Sherborne, representing Prince Harry, says the former chair continued to "keep engaging" Mr Johnson and ask him more questions in the recording.

The barrister says the impression given in the statement is "designed" to suggest Mr Grigson was "reluctant" to be in the conversation - but the fact he keeps asking questions contradicts this.
