The bill is scheduled to be heard in the House State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee on March 7. The bill’s Senate companion, SF 1633 (Sen. Grant Hauschild, DFL-Hermantown), has not yet been scheduled for a hearing.
The bill would require certain data access for exclusive representatives, provide expansive facility and e-mail access for exclusive representatives, including meeting with new employees on paid time and make staffing ratios a subject of collective bargaining.
Under this bill, employers would be required to disseminate certain personnel data to labor organizations.
