JOHANNESBURG - There are calls for the speedy publication of the Zondo Commission report once it has been received by the president in January 2022.
This was because the public needed to know the findings and recommendations into damning revelations of deep-seated corruption in state organs, the private sector and government institutions.

Speakers at the Defend our Democracy virtual event on the impact of corruption on human rights highlighted challenges faced by the South African justice system. Also brought into focus was the protection of those who risked their lives to root out corruption like those who raised the alarm against state capture.
NO SECURITY FOR WHISTLEBLOWERS
