Quarles & Brady hires Travis Kearbey as partner in its Labor ... - The Business Journals

For the second time in four months, a Milwaukee-based law firm has hired a partner away from Armstrong Teasdale LLP who will work remotely from the St. Louis area.

Travis Kearbey has joined Quarles & Brady LLP as a partner in the Labor, Employment & Benefits Practices Group. His first day was Monday. He previously led Clayton-based Armstrong Teasdale's employment and labor practice and is a former partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP.

Quarles said Kearbey has experience in litigation, business transactions, employment law counseling and labor law, representing clients in industries such as higher education, manufacturing, hospitality, professional services and various nonprofit sectors.

“Travis is a highly respected advisor and leader who will be a valuable addition as our team continues to expand to meet the growing needs of our clients, especially in St. Louis,” Sean Scullen, national co-chair of the firm’s Labor, Employment & Benefits practice, said in a statement.

In April, Quarles & Brady announced it had hired Sarah Sise as a partner in the Labor, Employment & Benefits practice. Like Kearbey, she previously was a partner at Armstrong Teasdale and is working remotely for Quarles from her St. Louis area residence. Sise and Kearbey are assigned to the Chicago office, where they will work occasionally.
