Reform UK branch shared false claims over a 'shooting' in Liverpool - Liverpool Echo

The West Derby Reform branch chair has issued an apology after claims were made in video shared online

The footage of an incident showing police approaching a house, in scenes which the ECHO confirmed took place on Thursday, October 22, before loud bangs were heard coming from inside the semi-detached property. The person recording can be heard claiming a "bomb" had gone off before stating a man had been killed after gunshots were fired.

This was incorrect, but the post, which included false claims from the local branch of the national party that the building is an "alleged HMO", has since been viewed around 119,000 times.

Adrian Mucha, 19, of no fixed abode, was charged with blackmail. He was remanded into custody to appear in court on Saturday October 24.
