Reham Khan receives Legal Notice over False Claims in Book - DESIblitz

Reham Khan has been served a legal notice for allegedly making false allegations in her book.

Communications Minister Murad Saeed accused the journalist of making baseless allegations against him.

Mr Saeed has requested an unconditional apology from Reham within 14 days, otherwise, a defamation suit of Rs. 1 billion (4.2 million) will be filed against her.

The official statement said: “Tender apology within 14 days from this notice otherwise the court will be requested for her stern punishment and Rs. 1 billion damages.”

Mr Saeed said a few days ago, his ministry got distinction by standing number one among the top 10 ministries due to extraordinary performance.

But the achievement was deemed controversial due to the contents of Reham’s book, which was published in 2018.

Mr Saeed added: “Your book was used as a reference for launching malicious propaganda and false allegations.”

The minister stated that the journalist never contradicted some of the references from her book that were leaked before it was published.

Mr Saeed previously filed a cybercrime case against the editor-in-chief of Daily Jinnah and Online News Agency, Mohsin Baig, for “character assassination” during a talk show.

During the show, Mr Baig and other panellists referenced Reham Khan’s book, implying why Murad Saeed was called a “blue-eyed” minister in the PM’s cabinet.
