SEREMBAN: Two Rela supervisors have been remanded for a week to assist investigations over the submission of false claims totalling RM25,632.
The order to detain both suspects, aged 56 and 38, until April 26 was granted on Wednesday (April 20) by magistrate Intan Syafinaz Ros'lin, following an application by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) prosecuting officer Mohd Khairi Abdul Karim.
It is learnt that the two suspects had submitted claims under the names of several Rela personnel, who were apparently on duty at the Higher Education Leadership Academy in Bandar Enstek last year, when in actual fact they were not present.
The two were detained at 2pm on Tuesday (April 19) at the state MACC office after giving their statements.
