Research Assistant for Elizabeth Dubois | Berkman Klein Center - Berkman Klein Center

The Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society is hiring one research assistant (RA) for the current academic term to work directly with BKC Fellow Prof. Elizabeth Dubois on a project examining the roles of social media influencers in elections globally.

The RA will help with data collection and analysis including collecting laws, regulations and policies related to social media influencer use in politics in Canada, US, UK and Chile as well as information from marketing agencies who represent influencers in those countries. As the project progresses there may be opportunities to contribute to writing a journal article. The RA will join an active interdisciplinary international team and will be supported through regular meetings with Dubois and with other in her research group.

The RA will work with Elizabeth in the following ways:

Reviewing existing literature and policy documents (such as case law, statutes, research papers, and articles, among other materials), organizing them into a database, and preparing short summaries of findings.

Assisting with the development of a strategy for continued policy, law and regulation monitoring on the topic.

Keeping apprised of current events and conversation related to these issues and bring forward notable updates.

Assisting with writing and/or editorial review and formatting of outputs such as research papers and conference presentations.
