The Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society is hiring one research assistant (RA) for the current academic term to work directly with BKC Fellow Prof. Florian Martin-Bariteau on a couple of research projects in the area of information security policy.
The RA will contribute to ongoing research projects on the protection of public interest security researchers, notably to support transparency and accountability in AI systems and other socio-technical systems. The RA will notably focus on legal frameworks (mainly in the United States) regarding computer crimes, hacking (offensive and defensive), whistleblowers, coordinated vulnerabilities disclosures, trade secrets and NDA.
The RA would work with Prof. Martin-Bariteau in the following ways:
Reviewing existing literature (such as case law, statutes, research papers, and articles, among other materials), and preparing short summaries of findings.
Keeping apprised of current events and conversation related to these issues and bring forward notable update.
Assisting with the development of research outputs.
Assisting with the editorial review and formatting of research papers and outputs.
Contribute to writing of outputs for the general public.
This position is currently hybrid.
To be eligible for this position, you must be a currently enrolled student at Harvard Law School or in a policy-related program at any other Harvard school.
