A lead policy analyst in Oregon’s paid family and medical leave program told agency leaders in her resignation letter last October that she endured a hostile work environment and discrimination based on her race, ethnicity and gender while working on the program.
She said she feared the racist and otherwise discriminatory work environment would mar implementation of the program and potentially let down some of the paid leave program’s intended beneficiaries.
