S. Department of Labor's new rule that cracks down on the volume of work tipped workers may perform while being paid subminimum tipped wage. The groups urged U. S. District Judge Robert Pitman on Friday to grant their emergency motion for a preliminary injunction before the rule goes into effect on Dec. 28, arguing the restaurants they represent, already beleaguered by the pandemic, will suffer irreparable harm without court intervention.
