Plaintiff Zulaika Mayfield claims Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil is, in reality, uses a raw material called bauxite that is sourced from outside of the U.S.

Mayfield argues Reynolds is thus misleading consumers who “value buying products which are made in America” by labeling that the Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil product is “Made in U.S.A.”

“Due to Defendant’s representation ‘FOIL MADE IN U.S.A. * * *,’ consumers will expect that all raw materials used in the foil Product are sourced from within the United States,” the Reynolds class action states.

Mayfield wants to represent a nationwide class of consumers who have purchased Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil since the beginning of the applicable liability period.
