What’s happening: Dire warnings about the dangers of wireless technology have been around for as long as the technology itself, and they show no sign of waning. The latest entry comes from Children’s Defense, the organization founded by U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The group, best known for its anti-vaccine advocacy, is now falsely claiming that wireless radiation has caused health problems for 26 million adults in the U.S., Australia, and Canada. As evidence, Children’s Defense cites a recent study based on self-reported data by respondents who theorized that their health issues were caused by wireless devices.

Context: The study, which was published on March 7, 2026, in the journal Next Research, said that its goal was to investigate “the prevalence of wireless sensitivity, and the medical diagnosis of electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS), in the general population” in the U.S., Australia, and Canada. The study defined EHS as “adverse health symptoms” from exposure to wireless radiation, including headaches, dizziness, cardiovascular problems, and nausea.
