According to court documents, after being arrested for another incident on February 22nd from an executed search warrant of the suspect’s home, 34-year-old Dakota Sheer was transported to the Greene County Jail. Court documents show that while at the jail, Sheer asked for a medical center to examine what she claimed were injuries when she was being taken into custody.
The criminal complaint states that Sheer alleged that a Jefferson Police Officer committed sexual abuse and assault when she was being arrested a few days prior, on February 19th for another incident. Court documents showed later on that law enforcement reviewed the body camera footage that the officer was wearing that day and there was no evidence of what Sheer had claimed.
A warrant was issued on March 10th charging Sheer with a Class D Felony for false report to public entities and a serious misdemeanor false report of indictable offense to public entities. She was arrested on March 25th after a mental health evaluation was completed at a hospital in Carroll County. Sheer was booked into the Greene County Jail under a $10,000 cash or surety bond.
