The Romanian Official Gazette July 4 published Law No. 195/2022, amending the employer obligation to maintain employee payroll information. The law includes measures requiring specified information to be kept for five years for which the employer: 1) has an informative declaration regarding the withholding tax on income beneficiaries; or 2) has the legal obligation to submit the declaration regarding the obligations to pay social contributions, income tax, and the nominal record of insured persons to the National Agency for Fiscal Administration. The law enters into force July 7, 2022, and takes effect Jan. 1, 2023. [Romania, Government Portal, 07/4/22]
