The president of Rowan College at Burlington County has filed a whistleblower lawsuit in an effort to prevent his dismissal.
Michael Cioce contends that he's faced “unrelenting retaliatory harassment” over the last 19 months after opposing “multiple unlawful actions” at the school.
Cioce, who has led the Mount Laurel-based college for eight years, received a notice of termination for cause Sept. 22, according to his federal court filing. He is seeking a restraining order to block that action while his suit is pending.
