Rubin and Rudman is pleased to announce that Julayne Lazar, a partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment and Higher Education groups, has been named a 2025 “Go To Employment Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The award recognizes the top employment lawyers in the region whose expertise, accomplishments, and creative thinking have made them standouts in this practice area.

For over 20 years, Lazar has focused exclusively on employment and labor law across the public and private sectors. She spent the first half of her legal career in increasingly important positions at several administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Office of the Attorney General, the Massachusetts Department of Workforce Development, and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. After leaving the public sector, Lazar served as In-House Employment Counsel and Associate Director of Employee & Labor Relations at a large Boston hospital for over five years before moving into private practice.

She has experience in all aspects of the employment life cycle, from developing compliant HR processes and policies to helping clients find creative employment solutions to litigating complex labor and employment disputes.
