A former professional with Science Applications International Corp. can argue at trial that the company unlawfully fired him for calling attention to the circumvention of cybersecurity requirements under a US Air Force contract.

Marselles Jefferson adequately alleged that the company violated the Defense Contractor Whistleblower Protection Act, because he said he repeatedly warned that the failure to follow best practices could result in waste, fraud, and abuse, Judge Sparkle L. Sooknanan of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said in a Wednesday opinion partially denying SAIC’s motion for summary judgment.
