On the 20th, Lee Yi-kyung’s agency, Sangyeong ENM, stated, “First, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has always supported and shown interest in actor Lee Yi-kyung. Regarding the recent issues being posted and spread across online communities and SNS, we are preparing legal action against the damage caused by the dissemination of false information and malicious rumors.”
Earlier, images capturing messages allegedly sent by Lee Yi-kyung with high-level remarks were publicly shared across online communities and SNS. Amid public attention on the authenticity of these messages, the agency swiftly addressed the issue, denying the claims as false.
Lee Yi-kyung’s agency added, “Given the severity of this matter, we will assess the scale of direct and indirect damages caused by the spread of false information and take all necessary measures.” They further stated, “Please note that not only the creation but also the indiscriminate posting and dissemination of such content are subject to legal action, so we kindly request your caution to prevent unnecessary harm.”
The agency continued, “Through reports from fans and our ongoing monitoring, we will do our best to protect the artist. Thank you,” adding, “We appreciate your support.”
