Saweetie has officially joined the conversation, and she’s not here for the drama. The rapper logged into her Instagram Story to address viral allegations published by a woman known online as Maybach Mayy, who claimed that, at some point in the past, the artist was under her management and owed outstanding debts. In response to Saweetie, the accusations amount to nothing more than a scheme to smear her name.
“The recent accusations made about me are false, defamatory, and deeply disturbing. These claims misrepresent the facts and are solely aimed at damaging my reputation,” reads the caption of Saweetie. She wasn’t holding back in describing how they were related: “This person never managed me. She was simply introduced to me by family. Her motives are now obvious. I’ll let the lawyers take it from here.”
The drama began earlier this week after social media personality Maybach Mayy alleged that the rapper refused to pay her for services she allegedly rendered, working for her or as her road manager. Mayy alleges that she set up appearances, including one with Manchester United player Jadon Sancho for Saweetie, and was not paid.
They truly went too far by insinuating that Mayy even suggested that Saweetie used her alleged relationship with Sancho to get away from financial obligations.
